Yrjö’s experience as a stock investor dates back to 1971. Shortly after that, he had the opportunity to learn what the multiplication of energy prices, high interest rates and inflation can do in the stock market. Yrjö started working in the capital markets in 1985 at Kansallis-Osake-Pankki’s head office, mainly working with domestic and foreign share and loan issues, as well as doing numerous IPO projects. Since 1988, this work has continued in the current Aktia Alexander, of which Yrjö is one of the founders. He has spent most of his working time in projects related to share-based remuneration for management and personnel at the current Evli Alexander Incentives Oy.
Yrjö has worked as a columnist for almost 20 years, first in Taloussanomat magazine and then in Arvopaperi magazine. He is currently active in the administrative bodies of HelsinkiMissio ry, Ilkka Oyj and Meripuolustussäätiö sr. Yrjö holds LL.M. degree from the University of Helsinki and has been a lifelong student in accounting at Aalto University School of Business since 1981. He has also skills to work with Swedish, English, German or Spanish.
